2026 Block Kids

Elementary age children creating projects using Legos interlocking block to compete in a national Block Kids program

Participants will use interlocking blocks to build their own unique structures. Local industry professionals will judge entries, and winners may advance to regional competition!

The Block Kids Building Program is a national building competition supported by the NAWIC Education Foundation. The program is open to all students in Kindergarten through grade 6.
The Block Kids Building Program will be held on Saturday, January 31. The free event will take place from 8 am to noon at the Climax-Scotts Elementary School.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to one winner at each grade level. Additionally, there will be an overall winner.

We need judges. We are also looking for sponsors. This fun, hands-on event introduces children to the exciting world of construction through creativity and problem-solving.
