DESCRIPTION:Women in Construction Week\nThe focus of Women in Construction (WIC) Week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. WIC Week also provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry. Let’s all show up and have FUN!  \nWIC Week 2018 Member Participation Activities: WIC Week Recap – Download\n  \n\n 1. Add the WIC Week logo to email signature \n To show support\, we asked members to add the below logo to their email signature (right-click image to download) \n \n\n 2. Participate in the Poster Photo Contest\n A poster was designed for this year’s event and will be distributed to members at the February and March events. Members are encouraged to take a photo with the poster and share to their social media for a chance to win a prize.  \nDOWNLOAD a small or large poster here:  2018 poster 8×11 (small) PDF     2018 poster 11×17 (large) PDF  \nHere is last year’s winner:  \n \n3. Celebrate with your colleagues and share! \n Members are encouraged to celebrate WIC Week at their office. Some ideas are to have a WIC Week pizza party for lunch one day\, bring in donuts or bagels in to the office and display with the WIC Week Poster\, take a group photo with colleagues at work and share to social media using hashtags #WICWeek2018 and #NAWIC302. \n4. Proclamation from Mayor Bobby Hopewell\n We will be receiving a proclamation of WIC Week from the Mayor of Kalamazoo\, Bobby Hopewell at the March City Meeting. Join us at City Hall to receive the proclamation—details to come to you via email soon. \nBelow is picture of us and the Mayor from last year!  \n \n5. Celebrate on Social Media\n We will be posting and celebrating WIC Week on our NAWIC Chapter’s social media pages. Be sure to “like” and “share”! \n6. WIC Week Photo with Prein & Newhoff\n Our March Membership Event will be a lunch with Prein and Newhoff as they discuss the importance of Michigan’s SAW Grant to our state’s underground infrastructure.
