DESCRIPTION:The objective of #KUDOS is: \n\n\n\nwork with residents to reduce their heating costs by placing plastic covers over their windows\, weather-seal doors and caulk around windowsprovide an opportunity to bring together volunteers from local churches\, businesses and non-profit organizations to serve their community;to forge community relationships with our neighbors in Northside and Eastside neighborhoods\, who we would probably not ever meet in our daily lives;to provide volunteers the opportunity through service\, to connect with the residents they serve\, so that they can get to know each other; andto build a connection with the residents we serve over the years\, into a bond of friendship and trust that we hope will endure.\n\n\n\nPlease download and sign the Waiver.\n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nPositive AttitudeLadderHeavy Duty StaplerProtective eyewearScissors/Box cutterPutty KnifeGlovesCaulk gun\n\n\n\nWhat will be provided: \n\n\n\nPlastic to cover windowsDouble sided tapeWeatherproofing tapeHeavy Duty StaplesTubes of CaulkWater & refreshments\n\n\n\nDon’t forget to invite the residents to join us for lunch at Allen Chapel at 1pm. \n\n\n\nRegister by October 20 HERE\n\n\n\n 8:30 am:  Arrival and Check-InMeet at Allen AME Chapel at 804 W North Street. WELCOME & Information Sharing. \n\n\n\nTurn in your signed Volunteer Waiver DOWNLOAD. Receive materials and equipment\n\n\n\n 9:00 am:  Meet & GreetEach team will be assigned two homes to weatherize. Get to know the resident to whom you are assigned. Secure Resident’s signature on the Waiver and collect the signed Waiver\n\n\n\n10:00 am:  Begin WorkReview with resident the windows that need to be caulked and/or covered with plastic. Verify the doors to be fitted with weather seal. Begin work\, wear protective glasses and gloves.
